Sansui SP-100 Vintage Audiophile Speakers (sold)Famous lattice front model with real mahogany veneer and rear control to change top end response. 3 way design has quite a large port with a cloth surround woofer. Magnet is alnico. Tweeter has a mylar diaphragm with horn. Very solid with lots of acoustic damping material inside.Nice sound with natural bass and very low distortion. Image Andante Audiophile Floorstanders (sold)Full size ported 2 way from the 80's featuring the legendary Audax Aerogel 8 inch driver.One of the best sounding speakers I've had available for a while, a modest amp is enough to activate these, a 60W audiophile grade amplifier would be ideal. The design improves on the best Audax reference design with an extra 10 litres of volume and less peaky port geometry. Serviced with new tweeters. Drivers are pristine. Rimu cabinets average with some marks and flaws. KEF K2 Celeste Vintage Rarity (sold)Solid and heavy pine and plywood boxes, fully sealed. Unusual "portable" configuration with an incredible B139 ovoid driver working full range and a T15 1.5 inch tweeter wired as treble fill.Almost ridiculous to have that driver in such a small box but they somehow work. Real golden mahogany veneer in good condition. Best placement for these is in a corner or flat against a wall to support the infinite baffle principle. Feed these with some class D power, a bit of eq and maybe a good cassette source for max weirdness - lots of fun potential!
