I persevered and finally found the right rubber tyre for this respectable machine. Old enough to have a full steel mechanism but new enough to have leds, computer controls and metal tape recording. Was pleased to find zero wear to the all important record/playback head.

JVC KD-10 Vintage Cassette Deck

Nice solid deck from Japan Victor Corporation. Mechanism is full metal and has a huge balanced flywheel, making for very stable tape travel.
Big meters, piano keys and mechanical counter complete the vintage vibe.

Serviced in and working well in good condition. Excellent for playback and recording.

Above average silver deck with soft touch controls and pro grade DBX Noise reduction. Has a nice bright flouro display and can record to metal tape. Mech is two motor, providing electronic take up torque, better than the usual felt clutch.
